Red Opium is one of the most exciting dining experiences in Perth.
 
Borrowing the theme from opium dens of 1940’s in Bangkok, Red Opium provides a relaxed atmosphere - the perfect meeting spot to enjoy bite-sized imaginative Thai-inspired tapas. Each bite is designed to thrill the senses and taste buds.
 
Experience the Asian influenced dinner menu crafted by our talented Chef and Restaurateur, Jak Sookasem. Our dinner menu is designed for sharing, a great opportunity to bring friends and family together over fine food. Red Opium features Thai fare reinterpreted in a contemporary and exquisite style.
 
Catering to the individual, couples, small groups and larger functions, Red Opium is the culinary setting for every occasion.
We regret that Red Opium is BYO alcohol only. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available but at a small fee of $1 and 2% respectively.
A native of Chiangmai in Thailand, our talented Chef,  Jak Sookasem draws on his Thai and Chinese heritage to showcase the mixture of bold and subtle Thai flavours.
 
Jak travelled and worked overseas for some years. During this time, he immersed in the culture and acquired a proficiency in creating new dishes with strong distinct Thai flavours and tastes.
 
At Red Opium, Jak designed the menu for a new Thai concept. One that tickles your senses as you share and graze dine on flavourful Thai and international dishes.
